Blood Red Roses is a Live Action Roleplay (LRP/LARP) system. It is set in a low fantasy world inspired by the English War of the Roses period. The game's society is made up of wild men, mages, clerics, nobility, soldiers and peasants, governed by a religion that is struggling to reconcile its past, present, and future.

Players may take the role of customised characters, with differing backgrounds, skills, advantages, and disadvantages. Combat, use of magic and skills and character development are determined by a set of rules.

These are designed to allow gritty player combat, limited use of black powder weaponry, restrictive use of healing and magic and flexible interpretation of skills and competances.

Events are mainly run for small groups of players in southwest England. Various resources are also available, including site details.
